Douglas Gene Tyler: Conway

1948 – 2024

     Douglas Gene Tyler of Conway died Monday, Jan. 15, in his home. He was 75.

     Born June 4, 1948 in Horry County, he was the son of the late Bishop Talman Tyler and Menta Lee Fowler Tyler.

     He is survived by a great niece, Jeanne Turbeville of Conway; a nephew, Mickey Lynn Cartrette of Green Sea; and a niece, Kimberly Cartrette Denniston of Bolivia.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kay Frances Cartrette.

     A memorial service was planned for 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding the service.
