Kathy Jean Todd: Greer

1952 – 2024

     Kathy Jean Todd passed away on Monday, May 6, at her home in Greer. She was 72.

     Born March 10, 1952, in Loris, she was the daughter of the late Heyward Thomas Todd and the late Caldonia Prince Todd.

     She was a longtime active member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in her earlier years and then moved her membership to Northgate Baptist Church after moving to Greenville, South Carolina in 2003. She will be most remembered as a loving sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend to all who were blessed to have known her.

     Survivors include her sister, Judy Gale Todd; two brothers, Keith Todd (Bonnie) and Nick Todd (Billie); six nieces and nephews, Steve Todd (Beth), Stacey Todd Coffee (Lee), Travis Todd (Corinthian), Kecia Todd Richardson (Alan), Jerodd Todd, and Tara Todd; and fourteen great and great-great-nieces and nephews.

     In addition to her parents, Ms. Todd was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Michael B. Todd.

     Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Pastor Barry Jimmerson and Reverend Rodney Hord officiating. Private committal services were at Carter Cemetery.

     In lieu of flowers family requests that memorials be made to Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 4301 Red Bluff Road, Loris, SC 29569.
