Marsha J. Batten: Loris

1943 – 2024

     Marsha J. Batten of Loris passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 18, at McLeod Health Loris. She was 81.

     Mrs. Batten was born April 1, 1943 in Lancaster. She was the daughter of the late Augustine Gilmore and Lucy Fennell Justus.

     Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Paul Cameron Batten, Jr.; sons Paul Cameron Batten III and Stacey Mitchell Batten; a daughter, Andrea Marshann Kelly; one sister, Nancy Justus; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

     She was preceded in death by a grandson.

     A funeral service was planned for noon Tuesday, July 23, at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory in Little River, interment following at Southern Palms Memorial Gardens in North Myrtle Beach.

     Visitation was planned from 11 to 11:45 a.m., preceding the service. Family also planned to receive friends for a celebration of life reception at Restoration Church in Longs following the interment.
