Dewey Edward Fowler: North Myrtle Beach

1948 – 2024

     Dewey Edward Fowler died Tuesday, Aug. 13, in his home in North Myrtle Beach. He was 76.

     Born July 7, 1948, in Horry County, he was the son of the late Polie Lee Fowler and Mary Elizabeth Hayes Fowler.

     Survivors include his wife, Linda Blanton Fowler; two daughters, Darla Fowler and Angela F. Mood of Wilmington; two stepdaughters, Dana Doyle of West Columbia and Kim Doyle Stephens of Harrison, Tennessee; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Lucille Clemmons of Wilmington; and many nieces and nephews.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three sisters, Mary Ruth Wilkins, Ruby Lee Cox, Maggie McCullum; and a brother, William Coley Fowler.

     Funeral services were planned for noon on Thursday, Aug. 15, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in Myrtle Green Cemetery.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding services in the chapel.
