Kevin Darrell Powell: Tabor City

1977 – 2024

     Kevin Darrell Powell of Tabor City died Wednesday, Aug. 14, in McLeod Seacoast, Little River. He was 47.

     Born Jan. 19, 1977 in Horry County, he was the son of Darrell Monroe Powell and Shelia Buck Powell.

     In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Stephanie Powell, and maternal grandmother Betty Buck both of Tabor City. He was the proud uncle of nephew Austin Fisher and niece Stella Fisher. Additional survivors include aunt and uncle Pat and Wayne Tyler of Tabor City; an uncle, Mark Powell; cousins Jeremie Tyler, Darrian Tyler and Chastity Ward, all of Tabor City; aunt and uncle Randy and Tammy Buck and cousins Fred Randall Buck II, Miranda Buck, Corey Buck and Helen Buck, all of Tabor City.

     He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather Fred Buck and paternal grandparents, Monroe and Earlene Powell.

     Visitation was planned from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, in Inman Ward Funeral Home.

     Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in Jacobs Cemetery.
