Larry Dean Thompson: Conway

1945 – 2024

     Larry Dean Thompson of Conway died Wednesday, Aug. 14, in McLeod Loris hospital. He was 79.

     Born Aug. 1, 1945, he was the son of the late Carl L. Thompson and Katherine “Kate” Bellamy Thompson. Larry was a Master Mason of Conway Lodge 65 and a veteran of the United States Army.

     Survivors include one daughter, Melissa Hughes of Galivants Ferry; three brothers, Rex Thompson of Tabor City, Ricky Thompson and Don Thompson of Longs; a sister, Judy Neilson of Charlotte; and one granddaughter.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Thompson and Jerry Thompson; and three sisters, Billie Jean Causey, Diane Gore, and Debbie Edwards.

     A graveside memorial service was planned for 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, in Forest Lawn Cemetery in the Wampee Community, Watertower Road, Longs.
