William Joe Taylor: Loris

1955 – 2024

     William “Bill” Joe Taylor of Loris, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 18, at MUSC Medical Center.

     Born Feb. 1, 1955, in Alton, Illinois, he was the son of the late William Thurman Taylor and the late Alice JoAnne Slocumb Wood.

     Bill was of the Baptist faith and loved by all who were blessed to have known him.

     Survivors include his loving wife, Gayla Taylor; a son, Kyle Taylor; daughter Keisha (Trevor) Pizzo; five grandchildren, Madison Pizzo, McKenna (Josh) Pizzo-Steffey, Evan Pizzo, Kennedy Taylor, and Keersie Taylor; sisters Dianna Rankin and Lanie Sauteron; a brother, Kevin (Cindy) Taylor; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and cherished friends.

     In addition to his parents, Mr. Taylor was predeceased by his brother in law, Ross Rankin, and sister Alice Phipps.

     Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
