Rev. Charles Wesley Clubb: Fayetteville

1941 – 2025

     Rev. Charles Wesley Clubb of Fayetteville passed away peacefully Thursday, Jan. 23, in Autumn Care of Raeford. He was 83.

     Born May 20, 1941 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Rev. Clifford Wright Clubb and Vergie Cox Clubb.

     He served as pastor of several Presbyterian churches and was retired.

     Rev. Clubb loved his Lord and the church, his family, and his special dog Sasha.

     He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Verne Gravley Clubb of the home; two sons, David Charles Clubb of Bexley, Ohio and Jonathan Gregory Clubb of Fayetteville; a brother, Kenneth Wayne Clubb of Jacksonville, Florida; and five grandchildren.

     A graveside service was planned for 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, in the Old Zion Church Cemetery, 10626 Swamp Fox Hwy East, Tabor City.

     Family planned to receive friends following the service in the cemetery.
