William Clyde James: Tabor City
1937 – 2025
William Clyde James of Tabor City died Monday, Jan. 27, in Loris Rehab and Nursing Center. He was 87.
Born Aug. 22, 1937 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Buster James and Annie Lee Fowler James.
He is survived by one son, Donald Earl James and wife Debbie of Loris; a brother, Ronnie James of Lexington; three sisters, Alice Norris of Tabor City, Rosa Lee Skeens of Lexington, and Myrtle Larue of Tabor City; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Ruth Phillips James; and one daughter, Avonda Norris.
A graveside service was planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, in Coleman Cemetery.
Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding the service in the cemetery.
