     John Jefferson Hardee, Jr. of Loris passed away on Saturday, March 1, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. He was 70..

     Born on May 4, 1954, in Loris, he was the son of Laphena Housand Hardee and the late John Jefferson Hardee, Sr.

     Mr. Hardee was of the Baptist faith, he enjoyed fishing, and he was an avid Clemson fan.

     Survivors, including his mother, are his brothers, Danny J. Hardee (Roscia) and C. Gene Hardee (Angela); a sister, Kathy McDonald (Richard); and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

     Memorial services were held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 7, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mack Hutson officiating. Committal services were private.
