Blanche Lanelle Harrelson Strickland: Loris

1938 – 2025

     Blanche Lanelle Harrelson Strickland of Loris passed away on Sunday, March 16, at McLeod Loris hospital. She was 86.

     Born July 15, 1938, in Conway, she was the daughter of the late Richard Earl Harrelson and the late Luttie Emma Johnson Harrelson Norris.

     Survivors include her sons, Carlyle Strickland, Timothy Dale Strickland, and Roger Taft Strickland; daughters Katrina Lou Strickland, and Jackie Strickland; brothers David Harrelson, Walker “Piddle” Harrelson, Randy Norris; a granddaughter; and many loving grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren.

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Strickland was predeceased by her husband, Edward Carlyle Strickland; a son, George Ray Strickland; a sister, Betty Jewel Mathis; and one grandson.

     Graveside services were held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, March 21, at Old Springfield Cemetery with Rev. Rodney Strickland officiating.
