Hilda Faye Gore Johnson: Loris

1937 – 2025

     Hilda Faye Gore Johnson of Loris passed away on Friday, March 21, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 87.

     Born Dec. 6, 1937, in Tabor City, she was the daughter of the late Alva Dewey Gore and the late Annie Laura Caines Gore.

     Survivors include her loving husband of 67 years, Donnie Johnson; a daughter, Sandy Johnson Runion; a brother, Clifford Gore; one granddaughter; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was predeceased by her two brothers, Leonard Gore and Royce Gore.

     Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, at Loris First Baptist Church with Pastor Shane Phillips and Rev. Dr. Mike Belue officiating. Committal services followed at Cane Branch Cemetery.
