Carol Louise Singletary: Whiteville

1960 – 2025

     Carol Louise Singletary of the Oak Dale Community of Whiteville died on Wednesday, July 2, in Columbus Regional Healthcare, Whiteville. She was 65.

     She was born March 28, 1960 to the late Garcie Clifton Nealy and Cathleen Blackwell Nealy.

     She is survived by her son, Harold Dean Singletary, Jr.; siblings Doris Hulon and her husband Jerry, Jane Locklear and her husband Roy, Linda Soles, and Brenda Jernigan; sister-in-law Tina Nealy; and a host of nieces and nephews.

     In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Dean Singletary; brothers Larry Nealy and Jerry Nealy; her sister, Lucille Nealy; brothers-in-law Roger Soles and Johnny Jernigan.

     Carol had a big heart and saw the good in everyone and was quick to pay compliments to everyone she saw. She loved her family, especially her son, Harold Dean. Carol loved to sing, she was known to always have a song in her heart and would often sing a special song at any church she visited.

     A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 6, in the Chapel of Inman Ward Funeral Home, Tabor City.
