Bernice Cliff McPherson: Chadbourn

1940 – 2025

     Bernice Cliff McPherson of the Beaverdam community, Chadbourn,, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on Aug. 4. She was 85.

     She was born Aug. 2, 1940.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, Sadie and Yancey Cliff; a brother, Melton; her sister, Peggy; and her beloved son, Teddy.

     Left to cherish her memory are her children, Teresa Lengner of Chadbourn, Frank Ricketts of Texas, Denise Ricketts of Chadbourn, and Rodney Ricketts of Georgia; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

     A small, intimate service to celebrate Bernice’s life was planned from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, at her home at 921 JD Cartrette Road. Friends and loved ones are invited.
