Sharon Sue Gurley: Clarendon

1953 – 2025

     Sharon Sue Gurley of Clarendon died Wednesday, Aug. 13, in McLeod Seacoast hospital, Little River. She was 72.

     Born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late James Nettles and Dorcas Godwin Nettles.

     She is survived by her husband, David Gurley of Clarendon; two sons, Dan Gurley of Nakina and Szhon Gurley of Clarendon; and one grandson, Cody Gurley.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Nettles.

     Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, in Inman Ward Funeral Home, Tabor City.

     A graveside service was planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, in Stanley Fowler Cemetery, Clarendon.
