David Hal Beck: Whiteville

1949 – 2025

     David Hal Beck of Whiteville died Thursday, Sept. 4, in his home. He was 75.

     Born Nov. 9, 1949 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late John Dawson Beck and Mary Kathaleen Andrews.

     He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

     He is survived by his wife, Clara Coleman Beck of the home; one daughter, Donna McCrackin of Nichols; a son, Travis Beck of Mullins; two brothers, James Dale Beck of Nakina and Bobby Ray Beck of Clarendon; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Horace Beck and Jack Beck.

     Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, in the Christian Harvest Center, 10526 Hallsboro Road, Whiteville.

     Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, in the Christian Harvest Center, burial following in the Pine Level Baptist Church Cemetery.
