Rebecca Kay Cox Coats: Loris

1947 – 2025

     Rebecca Kay Cox Coats of Loris passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 10, at her home surrounded by her family. She was 78.

     Born July 14, 1947, in Loris, she was the daughter of the late William Pearl Cox and the late Luzanne Livingston Cox.

     Mrs. Coats is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ray Coats; two sons, William Coats and Andy Coats; a sister, Francis Holmes of Burgaw; and one grandson.

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Coats was preceded in death by her twin brothers and grandparents.

     Family planned to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at Hardwick Funeral Home.

     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, at Beulah Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Black officiating, committal services following at the Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.
