Jerry Mitchell Arnette: Green Sea

1941 – 2025

     Jerry Mitchell Arnette of the Carolina Community, Green Sea, died Friday, Oct. 17, in his home. He was 84.

     Born in Horry County, he was the son of the late Henry Clayton Arnette and Cecile Grainger Arnette.

     He is survived by one daughter, Angie Arnette Black (Sammy) of Lake Waccamaw; one son, Andy Arnette (Cheryl) of Troutman; two sisters, Marjorie Marylyn Luneau of Charlotte and June Gayle Wallace of Hartsville; two grandchildren, Brandon Arnette (Kathrine) and Maggie Lancaster.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Diane Arnette and Genelle A. O’Neal; and one brother, Dale Arnette.

     Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel. A private burial followed in the Carolina Cemetery, Green Sea.
