Jerome Carl Burroughs: Loris

Jerome Carl Burroughs of Loris passed away on Friday, Oct. 3. He was 85.
Mr. Burroughs was born in Loris, a son of the late Carl Edison and Reba Letha Fowler Burroughs. He was the owner and operator of Burroughs Sprayer Manufacturing in Loris.
Mr. Burroughs was a member of Living Water Baptist Church where he was a past member of the church’s missions teams.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Audie Jerome Burroughs; two brothers, Dale Burroughs and Bernard Burroughs; and a sister, Margery Burroughs Todd.
Surviving are his wife, Cassandra M. Burroughs of Loris; one daughter, Sharon B. Porter (Richard C. Porter) of Loris; a son, Glenn E. Burroughs (LeAnne) of North Myrtle Beach; three grandchildren, Chandus Jerome Porter (Candace), Audrey Burroughs Major (James) and Parker Glenn Burroughs (Destiny); five great grandchildren, Gavin Porter (Melanie), Luke Porter Cooper Porter, Calum Burroughs, and James Major; three great great grandchildren, Liam Porter, Gavin C. Porter, Jr., and Elanie Porter.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, at Harrelson Cemetery with Rev. LeBron Crisp officiating.
