Daniel McLeod Sanders: Tabor City

1941 – 2025

     Daniel “Dan” McLeod Sanders of Tabor City died Wednesday, Nov. 19, in his home surrounded by his family. He was 84.

     Born Sept. 4, 1941 in New Hanover County, he was the son of the late Ernest Coleman Sanders and Annie Maude McLeod.

     He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

     He is survived by his wife Annette Sharrett Sanders of the home; three sons, Lance Sanders, Patrick Sanders, Charlie Sanders; one brother, Roderick “Rod” Sanders; five grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren.

     A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
