Weldon Lovett: Tabor City

1943 – 2025

     Weldon Lovett of the Gapway Community, Tabor City, died Friday Dec. 26, in Columbus Regional Healthcare, Whiteville. He was 82.

     Born in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Dennis “Jack” Lovett and Hessie Buffkin Lovett.

     He is survived by one daughter, Roxanne Bullock of Tabor City; one son, Greg Lovette and wife Christy, of Marvin; three grandchildren, Kandi Bullock Dill, Abbegail Lovette, Maggie Lovette; a great grandson, Randall Buffkin; one special nephew, Shannon Vineyard and wife Karen.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Ann Coleman Lovette; and three sisters, Willene Watts, Betty Worley, Juanita Vineyard.

     Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, in Inman Ward Funeral Home, Tabor City.

     Graveside services were planned for 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, in Gapway Cemetery, Tabor City.
