Audrey Dow Harper: Tabor City

1929 – 2025

     Audrey Dow Harper of Tabor City passed away on Thursday, Jan. 1, in her home. She was 96.

     Born Nov. 3, 1929 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late William Edgar Dow and Cloa Grimsley Dow Faircloth.

     She is survived by two sons, William E. “Buster” Harper of Tabor City and Roger Wayne Harper and wife Patricia of Harrisburg; one granddaughter, Jennifer Celeste Harper of Albemarle; a step grandson, Ronnie Lee Barbee of Simpsonville; two step great grandchildren, Brittany Cebada and LeeAnna Barbee, both of Simpsonville; two step great great grandchildren, Everleigh and Carter Cebada; a nephew, Dan Jacobs and wife Linda of Johns Creek, Georgia; and one niece, Lori Jacobs Edwards and her son Hunter of Haw River.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Leo Harper; sister and brother-in-law Annie and Grover Jacobs; and daughter-in-law Patricia Diane Harper.

     A graveside service was planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of your choice.
