Worth Nelson Duncan: Lake Waccamaw

1931 – 2017

     Worth Nelson Duncan of Lake Waccamaw died Tuesday, Dec. 20 in Premier Living and Rehabilitation Center in Lake Waccamaw. He was 86.

     Born Oct. 30, 1931 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Major Hustler and Aline Essie Ludlum Duncan and the widower of Virginia Highsmith Duncan.

     He is survived by one son, Richard Nelson Duncan of Tabor City; two grandchildren; one sister, Clara Lindey Rouse; one sister in law; and many nieces and nephews.

     In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Major Benjamin Duncan, Mitchell Merill (MM) Duncan and Willis Delano Duncan; and one sister:, Ponnell Duncan.

     Visitation was planned from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, in Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.

     Graveside services were planned for 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22 in Duncan Cemetery, Tabor City.
