Franklin Delano Tyler: Chadbourn

1943 – 2023

     Franklin Delano Tyler of Chadbourn died Monday, Jan. 2, in McLeod Loris hospital. He was 79.

     Born July 7, 1943 in Horry County, he was the son of the late Archie Mace Tyler and Mattie Mincey Tyler and the widower of Wanda Sue Sellers Tyler.

     He is survived by one daughter, Angie Tyler of Chadbourn; a son, Shane Tyler of Whiteville; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

     In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by eight brothers, Ace Tyler, Homer Tyler, Leroy Tyler, Jim Tyler, Gilbert Tyler and twin brother Winston Tyler, Red Tyler and Larry Tyler; and two sisters, Bernice Tyler and Venie Tyler.

     A graveside service was planned for 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, in McPherson Cemetery, Chadbourn.
