Joseph D. Lee: Longs

1955 – 2026

     Joseph D. Lee of Longs, better known to family and friends as Danny, went to be with the Lord on Aug. 5 after a brief illness. He was 71.

     Danny was born March 28, 1955, in Charleston to Joseph Berkley Lee and Mary Alice Hardee.

     He is survived by his wife, Paula; a son, Aubrey; stepsons Matt and Josh; a brother, Marty Lee; a sister, Donnal Lee; five grandchildren, and other extended family.

     Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his parents.

     Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dr. Roger Hofmann officiating. Committal services were private.
