Annette Alford Owens: Loris

1939 – 2023

     Annette Alford Owens of Loris passed away on Saturday, Nov. 11. She was 84.

     Born Aug. 25, 1939 in Loris, she was the daughter of the late Jerome Alford and the late Thelma Mishoe Alford Johnston. Ms. Owens was a loving homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

     Survivors include her son, Gregory S. Owens; two grandchildren, Brandon Phillips and Chase Phillips; great-grandchild Julianna Marie Phillips; and five sisters, Geraldine Roberts, Ernestine Rheuark, Pauline Lewis, Bethel Alford Watts (Ray), and Marny McAlister (Chuck).

     In addition to her parents, Ms. Owens was predeceased by her daughter, Lisa Ann Owens.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mack Hutson officiating, committal services following at Cane Branch Cemetery.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding services in the chapel.
