Miriam Huggins Gore: Chadbourn
1938 – 2024
Miriam Huggins Gore of the Beaverdam Community, died Thursday, July 11, in Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center, Whiteville. She was 85.
Born Oct. 2, 1938 in Horry County, she was the daughter of the late Howard Huggins and Mary Hair Huggins and the widow of Jesse “Rusty” Alton Gore.
She is survived by one son, Joseph Alton Gore of Chadbourn; a daughter, Sharon Gore Harris (Mark) of Loris; six grandchildren, Michael Gore, Jessica Maultsby (Zack), Joseph Alton Gore II (Katie), Ashley Harris, Bobby Gore (Morgan), and John Mark Harris; and four great grandchildren, Liam Maultsby, Jake Gore, Riley Gore, and Camden Gore.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Arthur Timothy Gore; and two brothers, Harold Huggins and Wilton Huggins.
Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Sunday, July 14, in Beaverdam Original Free Will Baptist Church, burial following in McPherson Cemetery.
Visitation was planned for the hour preceding services in the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Beaverdam Original Free Will Baptist Church Women’s Auxiliary or the Beaverdam Original Free Will Baptist Church Children’s Fund.
