Janice Louise Seay Hilburn: Loris

1946 – 2024

     Janice Louise Seay Hilburn of Loris passed away on Oct. 19 at Grand Strand Medical Center. She was 78.

     Born May 8, 1946, in Norfolk, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Walter Watkins Seay, Jr. and the late Eva Louise Deans Seay.

     Mrs. Hilburn was of the Baptist faith but above all else, she adored her family.

     Survivors include her loving husband, Mr. Vance Leon Hilburn, Sr.; sons Vance Leon Hilburn, Jr. (Ellen), Steven Ray Hilburn (Robin), and Terry Hilburn (Debbie); grandchildren Derek Hilburn, Heather Williamson (Martin), Lauren Hilburn, McCall Berry (Josh), and Reid Hilburn; and great-grandchildren, Naylon, Henry, and Kolton.

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hilburn was predeceased by her brother, Walter “Buddy” Watkins Seay, III.

     Funeral services were planned for 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Rev. W.H. Morris officiating. Private committal services were planned.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding services at the funeral home.
