Jessie Earlene Faircloth Long: Loris
1946 – 2024
Jessie Earlene Faircloth Long of Loris passed away on Thursday, Nov. 7, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 78.
Born April 17, 1946, in Loris, she was the daughter of the late Earl J. Faircloth and the late Sadie Lee Merritt Faircloth.
Mrs. Long worked as an attendance clerk at Loris High School until her retirement, and was a longtime member of Lawndale Baptist Church. She loved gardening and spending time with her daughters, granddaughter, and great grand-daughters.
Survivors include her daughters, Renay Long Hardee (Chris) and Melissa Long Lambert (Wesley); granddaughter Hannah Nichole Sanford (Houston); two great-granddaughters, Emma Grace Sanford and Callie Rae Sanford; and a sister, Mary Frances “Doodle” Lane.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Long was predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years, Charles Edward Long; and infant son Edward Earl Long.
Family planned to receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Hardwick, Funeral Home.
Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, at Lawndale Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Hardee and Rev. Larry Johnson officiating, committal services following at Antioch Cemetery.
