Betty Jean Buffkin: Kelly

1937 – 2024

     Betty Jean Buffkin of Kelly, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Nov. 20. He was 87.

     She was married for 46 years to the late Elton Buffkin of Tabor City and is survived by their four beloved children, Vicki Foster of Atkinson, Ricky Buffkin Woodruff, Everette “Ebb” Buffkin of Charlotte, Gregory Buffkin of Palmetto, Florida; fifteen grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and other extended family.

     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at Cherry Grove Baptist Church.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding services at the church.
