Fred Arthur Hufford: Loris

1964 – 2024

     Fred Arthur Hufford of Loris passed away on Monday, Nov. 18. He was 60.

     Born May 14, 1964 in Conway, he was the son of the late Art Hufford, Jr. and the late Faye Page Hufford.

     Fred worked as a carpenter and could build or fix anything he set his mind to. As an avid outdoorsman, he spent a lot of his time hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was a NASCAR enthusiast, he loved the Carolina Gamecocks, and was a tried and true Green Sea Floyds Trojan. He was an absolute great cook and his grandchildren adored his chicken bog.

     Survivors include his wife, Valleri D. Hufford; his daughter, Ashleigh Holmes (Christopher); his two brothers, Michael J. Hufford (Catherine) and Timothy R. Hufford; three step-children, Shannon Lambert (Anthony), Ben Browning (Cassie), Chasity Stallard (Michael); twelve grandchildren, Case Holmes, Becca Faye Holmes, Chase Lambert, Tatum Lambert, Brylee Lambert, Hunter Lambert, Trey Browning. Brycen Browning, Parker Browning, Kendall Browning, Camille Stallard, and Kylie Stallard.

     In addition to his parents, Mr. Hufford was predeceased by his sister, Tammy H. Cartrette.

     Graveside were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at Green Sea Cemetery with Rev. Lloyd Williamson officiating.
