Sesley Gore Blanton: Loris

1956 – 2025

     Sesley Gore Blanton of Loris died Sunday, Jan. 26, in McLeod Regional Hospital, Florence. She was 68.

     Born in Horry County, she was the daughter of the late B. C. and Louise Gore. She was the widow of Johnnie Blanton.

     She is survived by two daughters, Misty Blanton Jones (Chris) of Conway and Melissa Blanton Buffkin of Loris; three brothers, Craig Gore (Kay) of Charleston, Nigual Gore (Linda) of Myrtle Beach, and Reggie Gore (Suzette) of Longs; two sisters, Celeste Barnhill (Mitchell) of Loris and Scarlet Martin (Johnny) of Galivants Ferry; and five grandchildren, Noah Jones, Bailey Jones, Alex Buffkin, Colin Buffkin, and Ryder Buffkin.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, in Princeville Baptist Church, 2190 Fowler Road, Loris, with burial following in the Lake Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery, Loris.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding services in the church.
