Robert Gene Long: Nakina

1954 – 2025

     Robert Gene Long of Nakina passed away Tuesday, April 29, in his home. He was 70.

     Born in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Ralph Sadler Long and Elma Grey Ward Long.

     He is survived by his wife, Barbara Long of the home; and one sister, Diane Palumbo of Ft. Myers, Floria.

     Graveside services were planned for 11 a.m. Friday, May 2, in Pine Level Church Cemetery, Nakina.

     Family planned to receive friends and family following the service in Pine Level Church Fellowship Hall.

     In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center, 206 Warrior Trail Road, Whiteville, NC 28472.
