Steve Douglas Gore: Harleyville

1939 – 2025

     Steve Douglas “Doug” Gore of Harleyville passed away on Tuesday, July 1. He was 85.

     Born Oct. 21, 1939, he was a son of the late Don B. Gore and the late Addie Mae Blanton Gore.

     Survivors include his loving daughters, Tracie F. Gore and Elizabeth Anne Gore Blanton, and their mother, Patsy Blackburn Gore Ellison; brothers Donnie Gore and Curtiss Gore; four grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

     In addition to his parents, Mr. Gore was predeceased by one grandchild.

     Funeral services with Masonic Rites conferred by Loris Lodge No. 205 A.F.M. were planned for 1 p.m. Friday, July 25, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jamie Cribb officiating. Private committal services were planned.

     Family planned to receive friends immediately following services at the funeral home.

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital, 950 West Farris Road, Greenville, SC 29605, or The First Baptist Church of Harleyville, P.O. Box 297, Harleyville, SC 29448.
