Billy Wayne Gause: Loris

1947 – 2025

     Billy Wayne Gause of Loris passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at Loris Rehab and Nursing Center. He was 78.

     Born July 22, 1947, in Loris, he was the son of the late Rev. Alton Joseph Gause and the late Bertha Viola Prince Gause.

     Mr. Gause served his country with courage, honor, and dignity in the United States Army and was of the Baptist faith.

     Survivors include his brother, Troy L. Gause (Gloria); a sister, Faye Hancock; two sisters-in-law; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

     In addition to his parents, Mr. Gause was predeceased by his siblings, W. J. Gause, Alberta Boruta, Hilton Lephone Gause, Tommy Gause, and Donald Gause.

     Memorial services were planned for 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Rev. Lloyd Williamson officiating. Private committal services were planned.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding services at the funeral home.
