Jimmy Donald Cox: Longs

1956 – 2026

     Jimmy Donald Cox of Longs passed away on March 18 after an extended illness at home. He was 87.

     Born July 6, 1938, was a son of the late Dayton Paul Cox and Fannie Virginia Prince of Longs. He was a veteran of the US Army.

     He was pre-deceased by his first wife, the former Helen Faye McCumbee.

     He is survived by his wife, Katrina; a son, Barry Cox; daughters Faith Monks and Laura Arakas; sisters, Etta Lawrimore and Faye King; and other extended family.

     Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on March 22 at Buck Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Allen officiating. Committal services followed at Buck Creek Cemetery.
