Carole Bowen Watts: Tabor City

1934 – 2026

     Carole Bowen Watts of Tabor City died Tuesday, March 31, 2026., in Columbus Regional Healthcare System, Whiteville. She was 91.

     Born in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Bennie and Mable Fisher Bowen.

     She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia “Cindy” Carole Price of Whiteville and Connie Jean Johnson of Loris; seven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Ricky Lynn Watts and Billy Charles Watts; one grandson; two sisters; and six brothers.

     Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in the Union Valley Cemetery, Whiteville.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding services in the chapel.
