Ellis Franklin “Frank” Norris Sr.: Loris

1944 – 2026

     Ellis Franklin “Frank” Norris Sr. of Loris died Tuesday, March 31, in his home. He was 82.

     Born in Horry County, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Norris an Iva Dean Cox Norris.

     He is survived by his wife, Ernestine Soles Norris of the home; two sons, Ellis Franklin Norris Jr. (Becky) of Raleigh and Forrest L. Norris (Tiffany) of Loris; two daughters, Tina N. Turner of Loris and Jeanny Hardee (Stan) of Hamlet; two sisters, Christine Strickland and Sandra Kaye Causey of Loris; eight grandchildren, Tommy Turner (Toni), Brooke Parker, (Billy), Nicholas Lee Norris (Kaylan), Kayla Powers (Collon), Jake Thomas Norris, Blane Norris (Ella Grace), Brinley Reece Norris, Tucker Lee Norris; and three great-grandchildren, Rylan Powers, Hudson Burnett, Kylan Burnett.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James Robert “Shorty” Norris; and a sister, Estalene Rhodes.

     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Friday, April 3, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in Springfield Cemetery, Loris.

     Visitation was planned from 1 to 2:45 p.m., preceding services, in the chapel.
