Sylvia Suzanne Williamson Cooke: Loris

1936 – 2026

     Sylvia Suzanne Williamson Cooke of Loris passed away on Wednesday, April 22, at Anderson Oaks Assisted Living. She was 89.

     Born Oct. 4, 1936, in Loris, she was the daughter of the late Curtis Lee Williamson, Sr. and the late Belva Cox Williamson.

     Survivors include her loving sons, Richard Cooke and Joe Cooke; a daughter, Penny Cooke Stewart; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cooke was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Jennings Cooke; and four siblings, William D. Williamson, Major Curtis L. Williamson, Jr., Jo Williamson Bell, and Myrtle Lea Williamson Payne.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Thursday, April 30, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bruce Adams officiating, committal services following at Grainger Cemetery.

     Family planned to receive friends during the 90 minutes prior to services in the funeral home.
