Ellis O’Neil “Rawhide” Brown, Jr.: Loris

1959 – 2026

     Ellis O’Neil “Rawhide” Brown, Jr. of Loris passed away on Sunday, Aug. 9, at his home. He was 67.

     Born Feb. 5, 1959, in Conway, he was the son of the late Ellis O’Neil Brown, Sr. and the late Bessie Mazelle Clewis Brown Ludlam.

     Survivors include his loving sons, Robert Brown and Ryan Brown; brothers Ricky Ludlam and Vicky Ludlam; sisters Bessie Elaine Skipper and Delphia Rabon; and other extended family.

     In addition to his parents, Rawhide was predeceased by his wife, Wanda Fay Grainger Brown; a daughter, Jennifer Marie Brown; stepsons Travis Lynn Cannon and Tracy Lyle Cannon; a brother, Stanley Herman Ludlam; and other extended family.

     Funeral services will be private.
