Catherine Mabel Shepard Brown: Loris

1929 – 2024

     Catherine Mabel Shepard Brown of Loris passed away on Nov. 7 in Loris, surrounded by her loving family. She was 95.

     Born Sept. 15, 1929, in Wilmington, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Tillon Shepard and the late Mabel Batton Shepard. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

     Survivors include her daughter, Lori Anne Brown (Philip); granddaughter Jessica Youtsey (Adam); and her three great-grandchildren, Caleb Barton, Aiden Youtsey, and Coralline Youtsey.

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brown was predeceased by her loving husband, Wallace Curvin Brown; and a son, Steven Mitchell Brown.

     Graveside services were planned for 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, at Twin City Memorial Gardens with Pastor Randy Ghent officiating and Jessica Youtsey presenting the eulogy.
