John Mack Cartrette: Clarendon

1950 – 2024

     John Mack “JM” Cartrette of Clarendon died Sunday, Nov. 17. He was 74.

     Born Oct. 17, 1950 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late John Austin Cartrette and the widower of Linda Diane Williams Cartrette.

     He is survived by his mother, Alma Lois Hinson Cartrette; one son, John Marty Cartrette and wife Brandi of Clarendon; a daughter, Amy Rogers of Clarendon; two brothers, Rev. Bobby Cartrette of Clarendon and Randall Cartrette of Whiteville; one sister, Frances Gore of Clarendon; six grandchildren, Haley Ward, Hunter Long, Zachary Rogers, Michael Cartrette, Jonathon Cartrette, Rhiannon Cartrette; and five great grandchildren, Carley, Mackenzie, Tucker, Paisley, and Anna Leigh.

     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in the Cartrette Family Cemetery.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding services in the chapel.
