Steve Barnes: Tabor City

1957 – 2024

     Steve Barnes of Tabor City died Sunday, Dec. 8, in his home. He was 67.

     Born in Horry County, he was the son of the late Bill and Genice Turbeville Barnes.

     He is survived by his wife, Susie Strickland Barnes of the home; three sons, Stephen Barnes (Magan) of Trinity, Will Barnes (Nicolette) of Peoria, Arizona, and Eric Barnes (Carroll) of Tabor City.

     In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Mike Barnes; and a sister, Shirley Dew.

     Visitation was planned from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, in Inman Ward Funeral Home.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in Norris Cemetery, Tabor City.
