Mary Alice Boyd Suggs: Loris

1947 – 2025

     Mary Alice Boyd Suggs of Loris went to her heavenly home on Nov. 17, surrounded by her loving child and adoring grandchildren in her home at her bedside. She was 77.

     Mrs. Suggs was born Nov. 28,1947 in Loris to the late Mr. Pearlie and Mrs. Cecil Boyd.

     She was preceded in death by her sons, Ricky Dale Suggs and Raymond Ray Suggs; her brothers, Willie Boyd, Sr., Daniel Boyd, and Vernon Boyd; her sisters, Myrtle Grainger and Brookie Caulder.

     She is survived by one daughter, Lorinda (Danny) Cox; daughter-in-law Teresa Suggs; grandchildren Jeffery (Brittany) Suggs and Kayla and Lindsay Cox; multiple great-grandchildren whom she loved and adored; and a brother, Grover Boyd.

     A graveside service was planned for 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, in Cherry Hill Cemetery, Loris.

     Family and friends expressed their appreciation for the love and prayers sent their way, and plan to receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
