Barbara Lee Stroud Lovette: Loris

1943 – 2026

     Barbara Lee Stroud Lovette of Loris passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Grand Strand Medical Center. She was 82.

     She was born on Nov. 7, 1943, in Marion County to the late Marcus Stroud and Edith Godbold Stroud.

     She is survived by her son, Joseph “Jody” Lovette of Green Sea; a stepson, Curtis “Tiger” Lovette of Green Sea; and a large extended family.

     In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, McMillan Lovette; sisters Agnes Stroud Collins and Janie Gerrald; a brother, Marcus Stroud; and two step-grandchildren.

     A memorial service was planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, March 7, at Oak Grove  Baptist Church with Pastor Kevin Garris officiating.

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church, 5840 oak Grove Church Rd., Nichols, SC 29581.
