Danny Wilson Long: Little River

1952 – 2026

     Danny Wilson Long of Little River passed away on Thursday, March 5, at McLeod Seacoast Hospital. He was 73.

     Born Dec. 18, 1952, in Loris, he was the son of the late Joel Wilson Long and the late Alberta Gause Boruta.

     Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Barbara “JoJo” Long; a son, Christopher Danny Long; one daughter, Leslie Anette Long; a brother, Dale Long; a half-brother, Scottie Grainger; and other extended family.

     In addition to his parents, Mr. Long was predeceased by his brothers, Randy Long and Bobby Long.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Friday, March 14, at Buck Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Allen officiating, committal services following at Buck Creek Cemetery.

     Family planned to receive friends during the 90 minutes preceding services in the church.

     Family requests that memorials be made to Buck Creek Baptist Church, 11483 Hwy 905, Longs, SC 29568.
