Joann Johnson: Loris

1948 – 2026

     Joann Johnson of Loris passed away Saturday, April 11, at her home. She was 77.

     Mrs. Johnson was born in Horry County, a daughter of the late R.J. Barnhill and the late Gracie Barnhill.

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was predeceased by her husband, Earl Johnson; two brothers, Jimmy Barnhill and Dale Tyler; and one sister, Judy Daniels.

     Survivors include one son, Andy Johnson of Loris; two daughters, Christy Hardee of Loris and Tiffany Davis of Aynor; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a brother, Rev. Mitchell Barnhill of Loris; and one sister, Sherry McCrea of Shallotte.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Friday, April 18, at Crossway Church with Preacher Jarrett Johnson, Rev. Tommy Shelley, and Rev. Robert Brown officiating, burial following in Princeville Cemetery.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding services in the church.
