Sudie Geraldine Floyd Suggs: Mt. Pleasant

1935 – 2026

     Sudie Geraldine Floyd Suggs of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Wednesday, April 15, at Oak Harbor Healthcare in Mount Pleasant. She was 90.

     Born May 26, 1935, in Loris, she was the daughter of the late Sam Fulton Floyd and the late Edna Mae Grainger Floyd.

     Survivors include her loving daughters, Julie Hicken and Gloria Kinard; siblings, Mike Floyd, Fredia Tomlinson, Wanda Norman, and Darthy Kitchel; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Suggs was predeceased by her husband, Elbert Earl Suggs; and siblings, Joe Floyd, Harless Floyd, Leo Floyd, Norman Floyd, Wilbur Floyd, Ralph Floyd, and Shelby Bond.

     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Pastor David Watts officiating, with private committal services.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding services in the funeral home.
