Pastor Rickey Scott Oxford: Little River

1966 – 2026

     Pastor Rickey Scott Oxford of Little River was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 19. He was 59.

     Rickey was born May 25, 1966, in Charlotte to the late Claude Anders Oxford Jr. and the late Barbara Jean Barrier Oxford. He was preceded in death by his daughter Rachel Diane Oxford and a nephew.

     Rickey attended Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute and Dallas Theological Seminary and was serving as pastor at Sandy Plain Baptist Church in Tabor City.

     Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Dawn Oxford; daughters Addy Dawn Edwards and Dominique Dare Irwin; sons Caleb Scott Oxford, Samuel Zachariah Oxford, and EJ Oxford; a brother, Claude Anders Oxford III; two grandchildren and other extended family.

     Celebration of life services were planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, May 2, at Sandy Plain Baptist Church in Tabor City; and at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 9, in Pitts Baptist Church in Concord.
