Doris Eloise Elliott Cox: Loris

1941 – 2026

     Doris Eloise Elliott Cox of Loris passed away on Wednesday, April 22, at McLeod Loris hospital. She was 85.

     Born March 31, 1941, in Green Sea, she was the daughter of the late William Quincy Elliott, Sr. and the late Bytha Jane Sarvis Elliott.

     Survivors include her loving sons, Ray Cox and Randall Cox, and their father, Jimmy Cox; sisters Flora Jane Aiken and Hazel Irene Lerisey; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and other extended family.

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cox was predeceased by her brothers, William Quincy Elliott, Jr. and Allard Paul Elloitt; and sisters, Laura Brown and Marie Elliott Sherer.

     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Sunday, April 26, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Pastor John Goudelock officiating. Committal services were to be private.

     Family planned to receive friends during the two hours preceding services at the funeral home.

     Family requests that memorials be made to Living Water Baptist Church, 1569 SC 9, Longs, SC 29568.
